LocationNinja location service

Android 0.3.4 (19), recorded on an Android 15 emulator. All location inputs are synthetic. This demonstrates the app’s user-started location foreground service; it does not establish compatibility with Snapchat or every Android device.

  1. Choose Follow Me, then a distance and direction. Tap Start.
  2. The app shows “Following offset” and explains real versus simulated exposure.
  3. Leave the app. The persistent notification identifies the active Follow Me session.
  4. Expand the notification and press Stop now. The notification disappears and the app shows Stopped, with real location in use.

Follow Me continuously reads the real GPS position and injects the selected offset using Android’s mock-location APIs. Keeping the foreground service running lets the chosen simulation continue while another app is open. Deferring or interrupting it would stop the selected location output and return consumers to real location. The user starts every session and can stop it from the app or notification. Version 19 requests foreground location and notifications; it does not request “all the time” background location. Android marks simulated fixes as mock.

To reproduce: complete Setup, allow location and notifications, and select LocationNinja as the mock-location app in Android Developer options. Follow Me requires Pro. Settings → Access code supports maintained complimentary access without an account, purchase, OTP or region restriction. LN Probe, visible in the recording, is an independent test consumer; it is not part of LocationNinja or required to use it.
